Well, Hello!
It’s 2021
There’s still coronavirus, we still have to wear nose masks for hours, we still have annoying clients, Trump is still a dick, Jack Ma is nowhere to be found, Musk is my new Sugar Daddy and Buhari is still the president of Nigeria. Ugh!
Nothing’s changed, well except for the date.
You still answer to your name and you probably still weigh the same thing, if not more.
However, I do hope that you have the courage to take control and steer your life in some sort of direction.
Nothing may have changed; some things might have gotten worse but I hope you can block out the noise and do what you ought to do.
Now, something I was experimenting with before the end of last year was trying to figure out why more experienced people don’t disclose their salary to people that are just starting out in the work industry.
You may think it’s weird but it baffles me; why do people hoard information that would help someone else? Why do people give corporations more power by encouraging pay inequality? (Watch this 7 minutes clip)
Anyway, in my journey of shamelessly asking people, nobody gave me an exact amount but the insights I gleaned from some super nice people were invaluable. It helped me make smart money choices that I would not have made on a normal day.
So, ask your questions. You might feel embarrassed sometimes, but you’ll surely find someone that says something that would change how you operate forever which would change your life.
Look at this:
“You got this far because your natural approach was helpful. But to get to the next level, you’ll need technique, which, by definition, isn’t something you come by on your own.
If there are people who are playing at a different level than you who are embracing an approach that feels unnatural to you, you may have found the technique that you’ve been missing”
Remember, ask your question.
